This is an episode from Dr. Slump. My memory of the details is a bit fuzzy, but it goes like this:
One night while Senbei is sleeping, he hears someone knocking on his door. When he opens it, there stands the ghost of a young woman! Trembling with fear, he asks, "How can I help you?" The ghost introduces herself as Hanako Yamada and explains that she was supposed to get married soon, but was hit by a truck and died two weeks ago. Because of her lingering regret over never getting to experience her dream newlyweds' life, she became a ghost and came to beg Senbei to use one of his inventions to bring her back to life.
Senbei refuses, saying he simply cannot bring a dead person back to life. Upon hearing this, Hanako threatens him, saying, "I will keep coming here every night to bother you until you say you can do it!"
Hearing this conversation from nearby, Senbei's son, Turbo, suggests that they could just use a time machine to go back into the past and prevent Hanako from getting into the accident. Hanako is thrilled with this idea, tells them the time of the accident, and leaves.
Senbei immediately heads into the past with Turbo, bringing Arale along just in case something goes wrong. They find Hanako right before the accident and try to stop her from heading toward the danger zone, but Senbei's persuasion skills are so terrible that she mistakes him for a pervert and runs away.
Right at that moment, a truck comes speeding toward her!
Thinking on his feet, Senbei yells to Arale, "Knock that truck away!" Just before Hanako is about to hit, Arale body-slams the truck, sending it flipping over, and Hanako is saved without a scratch.
Thinking they can finally go back and get some sleep now that it's all over, Senbei hears someone knocking on the door again. When he opens it, there stands the ghost of a middle-aged man he's never seen before. To a terrified Senbei, the ghost says:
"Um, actually... two weeks ago, I was driving a truck when a girl suddenly appeared..."
