This happened during this year's Golden Week. My family had gone on a three-day, two-night trip, leaving me behind. We live in a fairly large, two-story detached house that my dad bought a long time ago. The house had one toilet on the first floor and another on the second. Since my room was on the second floor, I always used the upstairs bathroom.
That day, I had a special supplementary class at school and ended up getting home late. I left school around 7:30 PM, and I usually get home around 8:00. Even though it was late, I’d be home alone tonight and tomorrow anyway, so maybe I’d stop by somewhere to read some manga on my feet... As I was riding my bike and thinking about this, my stomach suddenly started to hurt.
*Oh crap!! It's about to come out!!*
Thinking this, I pedaled my bicycle at full speed, but there were no parks or convenience stores around here. I absolutely hated the idea of squatting by the road to do my business, so I aimed for home while enduring the agonizing pain in my stomach. Because I flew all the way at full speed, I made it home in no time.
The moment I got home, I rushed into the first-floor toilet, locked the door, and sat down on the toilet seat to do my business, when— "Bam, bam!!" "Bam, bam!!" The door was pounded on with incredible force. Startled, I forgot all about using the toilet and just sat there for a while, listening to the sound of the door being battered. (For some reason, I wasn't scared. I was just startled for a second.)
The pounding on the door showed no signs of stopping. As I sat there in a daze listening to the sound, it suddenly stopped, and a tremendously loud voice let out a sudden scream: "〇×△□#$★▽~!!"
I couldn't make out what was being said at all. However, the moment I heard those words, I was suddenly struck by an overwhelming sense of terror.
Then, the pounding on the door resumed. I held my head and shook violently as I waited for the noise to stop. For some reason, my mind wasn't reciting Buddhist chants or prayers to the gods; instead, I was praying, *"I am using this toilet right now, so please go use the upstairs toilet!!"*
Perhaps my prayer got through, because the noise finally stopped, and I heard footsteps running up the stairs. I stayed inside the toilet for a while even after the noise stopped. The pain in my stomach and the urge to go had already vanished completely.
After a while, once I felt a bit calmer, I decided to leave the toilet. I walked right out of the house without taking anything with me and went to a friend's place. When I told him what happened, my friend said I could stay the night. However, my friend's family was going out starting tomorrow, so I had to go back home the next day.
The next day, I thanked my friend and planned to go back home... but when the time came, I couldn't muster up the courage. I spent a while hanging out at a family restaurant and standing around reading books at a bookstore. Still, I had supplementary classes again tomorrow, so I absolutely had to go home.
Steeling my resolve, I decided to head back. It was still around 3:00 PM, so the surroundings were bright. The first thing that caught my eye when I entered the house was my bag, tossed carelessly on the floor. However, the things I needed for tomorrow's class were in my room upstairs. I sat down on the spot and thought about it for a while, but in the end, I decided to go upstairs.
And the exact moment I put my foot on the stairs to head up to the second floor, a sharp pain struck my stomach! And it was incomparably worse than yesterday's. *It's coming out!! I'm gonna wet/soil myself!!* Thinking this, I immediately dashed to the first-floor toilet.
But for some reason, the door was locked and wouldn't open. I kept pounding on the door with all my might. But it wouldn't budge. "Open the door—!!" I yelled loudly, even though nobody was inside. And then I started pounding on the door again.
At that moment, it hit me: "Isn't this exact same thing that happened yesterday?" "Wait... then was *I* the one pounding on the door yesterday?!"
Without understanding what was going on, I tried to head... to the second-floor toilet. But I had a terrible, ominous feeling about it, so I went next door to my neighbor's house instead.
The moment the neighbor saw my expression, they asked, "What's wrong?!" I managed to blurt out, "Please let me use your toilet!!" and they let me use it. When I came out of the bathroom, the neighbor looked confused, but when I mumbled, "It's nothing...", they didn't ask any further.
I ended up spending that night at a family restaurant. The next day, I waited in front of my house for my family to return and told them everything that had happened, but nobody believed me.
