One day, a housewife named Eiko was struggling with the large quantity of bargain items at the supermarket. She happened to get acquainted with Midori Yamagishi, and they decided to split the items in half. From then on, the two continued their relationship, sharing various things by cutting them in half. One day, they decided to "share" a parakeet, but since they obviously couldn't divide a bird in half, they agreed to take turns keeping it. However, Eiko noticed that the parakeet, upon returning from Midori's place, was repeating the exact same words as her husband. Eiko became convinced that Midori was having an affair with her husband. She grabbed a kitchen knife, drove Midori out, and then broke down in tears. The next day, a large package arrived for Eiko. Midori called her and proposed that they "share" her husband in half as well. Blood was dripping from the bottom of the package, and the parakeet inside was repeating, "Half and half, half and half." Hearing Eiko's scream over the phone, Midori hung up with a sense of satisfaction.
