A young man is stopped by a fortune-teller on his way home. The fortune-teller tells him that he has the ability to cure illnesses, and the young man just laughs it off. The next day, a coworker who suffers from frequent headaches mentions that he has run out of painkillers. Just to humor him, the young man concentrates on him, and the coworker's headache disappears. "My headache hasn't come back at all since then!" the coworker rejoices, treating him to an expensive club to show his gratitude. At the club, a hostess mentions that she is actually still suffering from a severe nicotine addiction. Just for fun, the young man concentrates on her, and she is thrilled to find that she no longer has any urge to smoke. Before long, the hostess starts visiting his apartment from time to time. Word of the coworker's experience spreads, and the young man ends up curing an uncountable number of sick people. An acquaintance's athlete's foot, that acquaintance's baldness, another person's alcoholism, a business partner's son-in-law's womanizing habits (to be precise, for some reason he suddenly became way too popular with women), the company president's relative's paranoid aggression, and so on. One day, the young man develops a headache. Before he knows it, his smoking and drinking have increased. He notices thinning hair, a stutter, and for some reason, he has become wildly popular with women. The young man realizes that the illnesses he has cured are "transferring" to him. "D-d-damn it. W-why did this happen? A m-modest reward doesn't c-cover this at all. I-it's all the f-fault of t-that fortune-teller." "M-m-my feet are itchy. I-I'll make them pay. F-first, t-that fortune-teller. N-next, the coworker who gave me a headache. A-and then the n-n-nicotine-addicted hostess. A-and after that..."
