I Accidentally Gave My Girlfriend the Wrong Cell Phone Number

A story about cell phones. My cell phone number is 080-xxxx-xxxx, but right after I changed models, I thought it was 090-xxxx-xxxx, and I gave my girlfriend 090-xxxx-xxxx. Well, a while after I gave it to her, of course, no calls were coming in at all. Thinking it was strange, I told her to give me a call, and she said, "Huh? We've been talking normally." Of course, there was no incoming call history on my phone. When I looked at the redial list on her phone, there was a record of her talking to a 090-xxxx-xxxx cell phone. So, I had her call that number, and someone answered. But my cell phone wasn't ringing. She was having a normal conversation, but her expression was strained. Feeling creeped out, I took the phone from her and answered it. "Hello? Y-chan (my girlfriend's name)?" The person on the other end of the line was my own voice. And right after that, the call was disconnected.

She had gone pale. I tried calling that number several times from my cell phone, but it wouldn't connect. After that, I tried several times using her phone as well, but it never connected again. According to her, the person on the phone knew things that only she and I knew, and what's more, their voice and way of speaking were identical to mine. And apparently, the day after she met me, the owner of that voice had made plans to go to an amusement park with her. When I think about what would have happened if I hadn't met her that day, or what would have happened if she had gone out with the owner of that voice... it gives me the chills.
