Excuse me. I'm taking a paid day off and sitting quietly in front of my computer. I'd like to share a small personal experience of mine, poorly written though it may be. My wife passed away before me, and our daughter got married last year. Finally, I am all alone. I still have eight years left until retirement. My late wife and I used to talk almost every day about how we would travel together once I retired. The night before last, my wife appeared in my dream and said to me: "Dear, next month is our wedding anniversary. Things must be hard with work until retirement, but hang in there. Are you doing your laundry? You can't just live on eating out. And how long are you going to keep leaving my things untouched? It's about time you cleared them away." Remembering my wife's year-and-a-half-long battle with illness, I couldn't focus on work. I took two days of paid leave and spent yesterday sorting through my wife's personal belongings. As I was doing so, I found an A4-sized notebook inside the chest of drawers. The notebook was densely filled with cooking recipes. It was a handwritten recipe book by my wife, written during the time when her body was growing weak. This was the first time I've ever experienced anything like this. It probably doesn't convey well to others, but it is a truly true story. To my wife: Thank you for the very end. I will cherish this with all my heart. Sorry for my poor writing.
