A short story by Takuma Okazaki. The plot goes like this: a protagonist is told by his girlfriend that she is pregnant. Struggling with what to do, he talks it over with people close to him and finally decides to marry her. In the middle of the night, at a mountain observation deck overlooking the night view, he proposes to her. As they hug in joy, someone approaches, and feeling embarrassed, the two decide to head home. Feeling the urge to use the restroom, the protagonist leaves his girlfriend waiting in the parking lot and goes to the bathroom. The story itself ends right there. So, what makes this story leave such a bad aftertaste is its title: "The Three Sacred Mountains Abduction, Confinement, Rape, and Murder Incident." With drunken college students making a fuss during the proposal scene, and the sound of a car door closing heard while he's in the restroom... what happens to the girlfriend left behind in the parking lot...
