Six children were playing kick the can at a shrine. During the game, an incident—or perhaps an accident—occurred. Masato-kun went missing. The remaining five grew up and were living normal lives. Then one day, two of them who claimed to have seen a young Masato-kun died one after another. They learned from the newspaper that the skeletal remains of a child had been found in the shrine's well. The body was wearing the same red jacket Masato-kun had on when he disappeared. The remaining three were terrified after their friends died shortly after seeing Masato-kun. On her way home, the protagonist (a woman named Sacchan) feels her clothes being pulled by an arm wearing a red jacket... Afterwards, she makes it home. She looks back and remembers the past. She realizes that because of her malicious thoughts (her mean prank), Masato-kun was chosen to be "it" in the game, which ultimately led to him falling into the well. Sacchan visits the shrine's well, offers flowers, and puts her hands together in prayer. Then she calls Susumu, a man who used to play with them. She hears a ringing sound nearby and walks toward the source of the noise. Susumu is found dead right beside the ringing cell phone. Terrified, Sacchan heads back to the spot where they used to play kick the can. There, she finds a "can" standing upright. Seeing this, Sacchan flees into a storage shed on the shrine grounds and holds her breath. Masato-kun, still acting as "it" in the game of kick the can, walks past the shed. He was still looking for everyone, believing the game was ongoing. Suddenly, she gets a call from Takeshi-kun... While Sacchan is explaining the situation to him, Takeshi yells: "Stay away! Don't come near, Masato!" Masato: "Found you, Takeshi-kun!" The sound of railroad crossing gates ringing is heard, and the call disconnects. Then, hands reach for the door of the shed where Sacchan is hiding, trying to open it. "You're already dead. Kick the can is over!" Sacchan screams. The surroundings fall silent. Then she receives another call from Takeshi and answers the phone.
However, from the other end of the line, Masato's voice says: "Sacchan..."
Sacchan turns her gaze toward the door. Standing right there is the figure of Masato-kun...
Masato: "Found you, Sacchan!"
Paralyzed with terror, Sacchan reaches out and grabs a nearby shelf. The shelf begins to collapse, crushing her beneath it. The End
