This is about the story of John Tayu Seagal from the gag manga "Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar." John Tayu belongs to the Good Fortune Power Research Department at a certain production company, where he practices his own self-styled method of fortune called the "Jonda-style Fortune Method." His philosophy is that "luck ebbs and flows like waves (peaks and valleys)," meaning that "if you intentionally bring misfortune upon yourself and lower your luck, your luck will go up next and good fortune will arrive." Because of this, even when John Tayu unintentionally encounters misfortune, he desperately tells himself to brush it off, thinking, "Something good is going to happen next... something good is going to happen next..." When the protagonist Jaguar doubts the Jonda-style Fortune Method, John Tayu claims, "Thanks to this method, I once won an expensive tea set in a sweepstakes," and tries to show it to him. However, perhaps due to poor storage, when he opens the box containing the tea set, every piece inside is already cracked. Upon seeing this, John Tayu flies into a hysterical fit, kicks the box with all his might to smash the tea set into tiny fragments, and defiantly rationalizes, "This is also part of the Jonda-style Fortune Method. By intentionally letting go of the good fortune I've obtained, even greater luck will come dancing my way next." Right after that, John Tayu's father appears and announces, "Our house exploded," and the story ends.
