The Jump+ one-shot manga "An Elf Descended Upon a Worthless Me." The protagonist was a freeter who loved elves and whose hobby was playing adult games featuring them. One day, while walking past a local shrine, a spatial rift suddenly opened, and a woman emerged from it. Fainting, the protagonist instinctively brought the woman back to his home, but based on her clothes, belongings, and ears, he concluded she was a real elf. His delusions ran wild as he imagined an extraordinary, lovey-dovey life with an elf.
However, when the elf woke up, she suddenly beat the protagonist to a pulp. Even when he tried to talk to her, he couldn't understand a word of the language she spoke, making communication impossible. Still, he convinced himself that if they slowly nurtured their relationship, he could lead his ideal life, but reality was different.
Whether the air in the human world didn't suit her, the elf refused to go outside at all, crouching and sitting motionlessly in the corner of the room without trying to talk. Sometimes, perhaps out of hysteria, she would lash out at the protagonist with incomprehensible words and actions, going on rampages and breaking things. Her body didn't seem to accept convenience store-style food, causing her to vomit whenever she tried to eat it. She could somehow manage to eat additive-free and pesticide-free foods, but since items of that sort were expensive, the protagonist managed to cover the costs by picking up extra part-time work.
A month later, the once-beautiful elf had withered away like an old woman. She wouldn't take a bath or go to the restroom properly, leaking bodily waste so that even a foul odor drifted about. The protagonist even began to harbor murderous intent toward the elf, who caused nothing but trouble and offered no reward whatsoever, despite him exhausting his savings to devote himself to her. One day, however, he saw a news report on TV about an elderly foreigner-looking man holding a blade who had gone on a rampage muttering meaningless words at a convenience store and was shot dead by police. The moment the culprit's appearance was shown on screen, the elf shed tears while muttering something. Thinking that that old man might be an ally of the elf, and considering the possibility that other comrades existed, the protagonist put the elf in a wheelchair and headed toward the shrine where they had first met.
The moment they reached the shrine, the staff the elf was carrying began to glow. He deduced that magic could probably be used here because the connection between this shrine and the world the elf originally came from was weak. Then, the elf held up her staff and chanted a spell, warping the protagonist and herself somewhere else.
Flown to the back of some building, the protagonist and the elf met a woman. The moment she saw that woman, the elf burst into tears and hugged her. The protagonist heard various things from the woman: she was a fellow female warrior and comrade of the elf, they had been on a journey to defeat the Demon King, but were blown into this world by magic from one of the Demon King's subordinates. The woman was currently making a living by working as a prostitute, the old man who appeared at the convenience store was the Hero, and another comrade, a martial artist, had committed suicide. Furthermore, the woman stated that she was barely scraping by just living alone in this world, could do nothing for the elf, and they probably could never return to their original world either, before walking away.
On their way back, for the first time, the elf began to speak in halting Japanese: "Thank you for everything, but it's enough now." Convinced that after all, there was no way he could live together with an elf from another world, the protagonist decided to leave the elf behind and go home, exactly as she said. However, seeing the elf try to jump into a river, the protagonist stopped her. The protagonist had unilaterally assumed the elf was an ideal existence just like in convenient anime and games. But the elf was living just like him—he couldn't just abandon such an elf, the protagonist told her. Whether his words got through, for the first time since they met, the elf showed a smile.
A short while after that, the elf grew cold on the bed and stopped moving. The very next day, she vanished into thin air as if nothing had ever been there from the start. Thus, the protagonist returned to his normal life, but he never picked up an elf adult game ever again.
