The twin boys, Kazuki and Masaki, ride their tricycles round and round inside the room. Outside, amidst the howling wind, a priest (Hisashi Shimada) happens to walk past and gazes into the house. The twins stare back expressionlessly. Downstairs, an interview is taking place in the parlor.
Miho Yamaguchi (Yui Asaka) is interviewing for a babysitter position at a novelist's home. The house has twin boys. The mother of the twins says, "I'd like you to meet them. If they take a liking to you..."
Miho immediately goes to meet them. The children look somewhat expressionless. When asked by their mother if they think they can get along with Miho, the boys simply nod in silence.
In the evening, as they are heading out, the mother, seeing Miho working so diligently, starts to say something. Mother: "Miho-san, actually, the boys..." Father: "Yoshiko!" Mother: "I wonder if this is alright... Such a nice young woman..."
After the parents leave, Miho looks after the twins as instructed and gives them a bath. Noticing three moles forming a triangle on both of their abdomens, she mutters, "Even the placement of their moles is identical since they're twins."
At that very moment, a sudden blackout occurs. In the distance, the sound of breaking glass can be heard. With no other choice, Miho leaves the twins to go check on things.
A window appears to be broken in one of the rooms, letting in a strong wind. As she cautiously tries to see what's happening, she is suddenly grabbed by someone. She tries to resist, but a man immediately holds up a cross. Yes, the man is a priest.
Priest: "The children living in this house are children of the devil. It was a horrific sight... The people in the town lost their sanity, the parents were manipulated by the children, and they hire babysitters to offer as sacrifices. This house has already entered the demon realm, and no one can leave anymore."
In truth, the twin boys are incarnations of the devil. Using the same routine (which the writer couple is aware of), they have been hiring babysitters and offering them as sacrifices to the demon. The man (a priest), having accidentally discovered this, has come to stop the conspiracy and banish the demon.
The moment he says this, a large tree in the yard falls, blocking the windows and the front door. Priest: "We have to kill those children."
Miho, unable to believe the story, strikes the priest in the back with a nearby golf club as he tries to head toward where the twins are. Taking advantage of the moment, Miho hurries back upstairs to protect the twins, but they are nowhere to be found.
As Miho searches frantically, the priest appears before her again. "Why won't you believe me?!" "There's no way I can believe you!" Miho snaps, trying to brush him off, but he says, "They should have three moles on their abdomens. That is the proof of the devil."
The very next moment, a tricycle crashes into the priest's legs at tremendous speed. She turns around to find the twins standing there.
Ignoring Miho's confusion as to why they are here, the priest shouts, "Evil children... Leave this place at once!" and holds up his cross. However, when the children call out in innocent voices, "Big sis!", Miho regains her senses, takes the twins away, and locks herself inside the master bedroom. Priest: "Won't you trust me?! You're going to be killed by those children!"
The priest forces the lock and enters the bedroom. When he takes out holy water and splashes it on the children, their skin begins to melt away amidst white smoke.
Miho is stunned. Just as she is forced to believe the priest's story, the twins reveal their true nature. The moment the twins turn their heads away, their necks spin 360 degrees. Their faces are those of demons, not of this world. The next instant! They leap toward the priest and bite into his neck. The priest lets out a soundless scream at the sudden turn of events. Within seconds, his throat is torn out, and he dies, losing a massive amount of blood.
As Miho stands there dumbfounded, realizing, "I'm next!", she flees the scene. The house shakes as if in a major earthquake, making it impossible to keep her footing. She somehow manages to escape into the children's room. The moment she enters, everything in the room flies apart and falls into utter chaos. Miho can only hunker down and endure it.
Just as she somehow tries to leave the room, the balcony glass shatters, and the sound of a tricycle echoes through the air. Miho sinks into despair. The demon standing right in front of her speaks directly to Miho: "NEXT IS YOU." Miho's scream echoes out.
The scene shifts to a later date, where the writer couple is interviewing a new babysitter. "You're from the countryside in Hokkaido, right? As I mentioned on the phone, you haven't told anyone that you're coming here, have you?" "Yes!"
Around that time, in the basement where they were strictly forbidden to enter, the twins were dragging Miho's corpse along the floor.
