Remembering This After Reading the Door Story

When I was working late on my research at university, I'd hear footsteps in the hallway and someone would knock on the door. Of course, nobody was ever there… It's such a cliché story, really boring, right?

While my professor was telling this exact story during a lecture, the door to the lecture hall opened just a crack. I thought it was a late student, but nobody came in, and the door closed again.

The professor joked, "I guess someone invisible came in. Maybe if I take attendance, the headcount will go up by one! Hahaha!"

Given the kind of story he'd just told, everyone was completely freaked out… Sorry it's not scarier.

That happened at my university too! Doors opening on their own, I mean.
During class, a push-to-open type door (not a sliding one) suddenly swung open. And it opened inward, toward the classroom.
Since it's an all-girls school, the screams were insane.
Eventually, they concluded it was just a bad fit and a draft, but for a door supposedly opened by the wind, it had way too much force. For a while, everyone was whispering, "Could it actually be…?"

This is a story a friend of mine heard from an acquaintance. It’s something the acquaintance heard from the parents of a deceased young man at a relative's funeral.

Late one night, the young man and two of his male friends went for a drive in a single car, which ended when they crashed straight into a concrete wall. The other two friends died instantly, but he survived, though he was left in a coma with critical injuries.

He was in a private hospital room, and his family took turns staying overnight to watch over him. As the days passed, they noticed something strange.
Around 2:00 AM every night, the door to the hospital room would open on its own.

At first, the family didn't understand what it meant, but before long, they realized: "His dead friends are coming to call for him."
Whenever it happened after that, the family would desperately plead with the unconscious man, crying, "Don't go!" But in the end, it was no use.

By the way, the person who had been driving the car when the accident happened was that very man.

I remembered this after reading that story about doors.
